Not been in here since it was a snooker hall and I have to say they have done a marvellous job. Really impressed with the layout and how much space there is. The stage is impressive, bigger than I expected and there was places to sit upstairs. There are two bars one upstairs and one downstairs, security was excellent, the only gripe I have is that when the main band was on the sound was not good and the band had to keep telling them to sort it out, other than that it was a fantastic night and I hope they continue to get great bands and maybe some comedy. Can’t wait for the Sweet.

What an amazing little venue. Just got back from watching Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel. They were also incredible. The Avenue staff are friendly the place is clean and spacious, set out aesthetically pleasing and I thought the prices reasonable. A good stage and the sound was spot on. This place needs supporting so we don’t lose it. Always a danger in these times. Brilliant.

So last night was my first visit and absolutely loved it brill atmosphere , no trouble, Pat Sharp did a great set and Atomic were brilliant Can’t wait to visit again!
One question tho, why are the ladies loos upstairs and the gents downstairs? Women in heels , men in flats. Swap em over, make the men walk ! Lol

Had a great night with friends at The Avenue last night. Atomic were brilliant. They played some really great tracks from the 80s. It’s so refreshing to finally have a great club in Chesterfield suitable for all, irrespective of age. I hope it gets the recognition and support it deserves. I’ll definitely be back to swing my pants with friends.

Brilliant venue.. Like most live music venues nowadays needs people to support live music. Not keen on plastic glasses and lager at £4 a pint.. But pint bottles at 3.50 is ok.
